Gingerbread Cookie Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:

Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in molasses, egg, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk dry ingredients, then combine with wet mix.

Spread dough evenly into a greased 9x9-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 18–22 minutes, or until set. Let cool completely before frosting.

Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar gradually and vanilla extract. Beat until light and fluffy.

Spread frosting evenly over cooled bars. Garnish with holiday sprinkles, crushed cookies, or a light dusting of cinnamon, if desired.
